We shall explore the development of photographs through a study of the different types of pictures made in the period covered by the course. The approach will be thematic, with investigation of the portrait, landscapes, pictures of events and the idea of photography as a contemporary art form. We will not discuss the technical aspects of taking photographs although the major technical innovations will be explained.  Currently the most exciting class I'm teaching.  Sandra Smith, Course tutor.
